Introduction
General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out the needs of progressively developing new quality productive forces and solidly promoting high-quality development. Developing new quality productive forces is an inherent requirement and important focus for promoting high-quality development. He emphasized that the development of new energy vehicles is a necessary path for China to move from a common automobile maker to a dominant country with cutting-edge technology in automobile. Currently, the sales of new energy vehicles have become one of the "new three pillars" that prop up China's exports. As an important venue for China's manufacturing and export-oriented industries, the Greater Bay Area of the Pearl River Delta has given birth to a series of excellent automotive software and hardware industry chains such as BYD, Huawei, Xiaopeng, GAC, and Dongfeng in recent years, with a production and research scale of over 100 billion Yuan. In order to conform to the national strategy in speeding up the development of new energy vehicle industry, strengthening recognition and expanding sales of new energy vehicles in the international market, Wuyi University established the "Greater Bay Area International Industry-Education Integration Center for New Energy Vehicle" in October 2024. Considering that Wuyi region as the hometown of many overseas Chinese, the center will take the advantage of "using overseas Chinese as a bridge", strive for the school to gain a place in the new energy vehicle industry. The center aims to train "New Energy Vehicle International Marketing Specialist" as the entry point, accelerate the school's international exchanges and cooperation, cultivate a group of backbone teachers with international vision and international cooperation experiences, and empower the high-quality development of new quality productivity in the Greater Bay Area.
The establishment of the "Greater Bay Area International Industry-Education Integration Center for New Energy Vehicles" has received assistance from the Overseas Investment Union of the Investment Association of China and China-SCO Institute of Economics and Trade. It has joined forces with major new energy vehicle manufacturers, industry leaders, industrial associations, chambers of commerce, and relevant government departments. Gaining strong supports and resources from these organizations and personnel, the center will fulfill its functions as to cultivate International Marketing Specialists for Chinese new energy vehicles, and promote the cross-border trade of Chinese new energy vehicles.
